🧭 About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Team Lead with 6–7 years of experience to lead engineering teams and drive successful technical delivery.
This role goes beyond managing developers. You will be responsible for technical architecture, engineering delivery, client requirements, team development, hiring, AI adoption, project onboarding, and technical governance.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical depth, leadership capabilities, and the ability to connect business requirements with practical and scalable technical solutions. You will take end-to-end ownership of engineering outcomes while working closely with clients, management, sales, and cross-functional teams.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🌐 Client & Business Contribution
- Communicate with clients and understand business and technical requirements
- Analyze requirements, clarify scope, and validate BRDs and technical requirements
- Conduct R&D and propose practical technical solutions
- Support solution estimation, technical feasibility, and business opportunities
- Identify opportunities for technical improvements, expansion, and additional business value
⚙️ Engineering Delivery & Technical Management
- Lead sprint planning, technical planning, task allocation, and team stand-ups
- Monitor technical progress, project delivery, quality, and timelines
- Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering quality standards
- Identify technical blockers, risks, and delivery challenges and drive resolution
- Ensure technical commitments and delivery timelines are successfully met
👥 Hiring & Team Development
- Conduct technical interviews and skill assessments
- Evaluate technical competency and role suitability
- Participate in technical hiring and selection decisions
- Conduct probation and technical performance reviews
- Identify skill gaps and support team capability development
- Build technical readiness and support future team growth
🧠 Technical Competency & AI Readiness
- Drive solution architecture and technical decision-making
- Maintain strong understanding of backend, frontend, databases, cloud, security, and DevOps
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to business requirements
- Drive workflow automation and practical AI adoption
- Encourage the use of AI and automation to improve engineering efficiency and outcomes
🛡️ Technical Excellence & Engineering Standards
- Conduct security reviews and technical quality checks
- Develop, review, and maintain technical SOPs and engineering standards
- Maintain architecture documentation and documentation practices
- Coordinate on servers, infrastructure, DevOps, and platform requirements
- Identify technical debt and recommend corrective and improvement actions
🚀 Project Onboarding & Sales Support
- Support solution design, project architecture, and technical feasibility assessment
- Contribute to client estimations, technical planning, and pre-sales discussions
- Plan and execute Proofs of Concept (POCs) and technical R&D
- Prepare database diagrams, technical models, and solution documentation
- Provide technical inputs for proposals and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams
- Ensure delivery teams receive complete technical and business context before execution

- Plan team development and resource requirements
- Drive cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Make technical decisions aligned with business priorities

- Report engineering status and key updates to the Chief Layer
- Consolidate reporting from the engineering team
- Prepare project health, team performance, technical status, and risk reports
- Escalate critical issues and provide corrective action plans
- Participate in governance reviews and monitor compliance with processes and standards
- Provide timely and accurate information to support management decision-making

🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 6–7 years of professional experience in Software Development, Engineering, or Technical Leadership
- Proven experience leading development teams and managing technical delivery
- Strong experience in solution architecture, project planning, and engineering execution
- Experience working with clients and understanding business requirements
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical decision-making abilities
